Starting a business in Ghana with the help of accraexpat.com

Presenting and advising on Ghana’s legal investment environment and procedures 

pertaining to the incorporation and start-up of the various types of businesses and companies which foreign investors may establish in Ghana under the GIPC Act (2013). This introductory meeting is also to bring answer to questions that are specific to your project and may include discussions, orientation and referrals on any subject related to Ghana’s economic and business environment.
US$ 180.00 for meeting and documentation – 50% reimbursed to clients

Handling of the incorporation of a foreign company (fees indicated are government fees as of March 1, 2017)
GHS 430 and 0.5% of stated capital for Limited company – done in 15 business days* (shorter delay available on request)
Handling of the steps following incorporation
A - Registering with Ghana Revenue Authority and the Value Added Tax Secretariat
No fees - done in 10 business days*
B- Bank accounts opening and Bank of Ghana certification of the Minimum Equity Contribution
No fees- done in 6 business days* / on request when equity includes a shipment
C - Registering with the Ghana Investment Promotion Council
Registration fee depends on type of company (GHS 10,500 upwards) – done in 5 business days*
D - Benefiting from Immigrant Quota (not required by law) 
GIPC & Immigration fees – done in 30 business days* (shorter delay available on request)
E – Registering Trademarks (not required by law)
US$ 310.00 – trademark protected within 12 business days* (additional $200 for certificate)

Advising on the remaining procedures required to start operating
mainly registration with / licenses from relevant Agencies, as applicable to the sector of operation:

     A - Applying for business licenses at the Metropolitan Authority
     B - Inspection of work premises by the Metropolitan Authority
     C - Registering for social security
     D - Obtaining the Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate
     E - Payments of payroll and withholding taxes

US$ 180.00 for meeting and partial documentation – free of charge for clients
