The Ehalakasa Slam Final is here again.

Ehalakasa has been bringing poetry to audiences over the years and has been the launchpad for numerous poets and artists.

Artists such as Mutumbo Da Poet, Kyekyeku, Jahwai, Rhymesonny, Poetra, Chief Moomen, Nana Asase, Crystal Tettey and Hondred Percent have benefited from the platforms created by Ehalakasa in showcasing Ghana's talent to the world.

The Ehalakasa Slam has been running for three years. This year Ehalakasa had three slams in rounding up the finalists. The team journeyed to Kumasi, Takoradi and Tema all in efforts to seek out the talent hidden within Ghana. With three finalists emerging per slam, we now have nine contenders for the coveted title of Ehalakasa Slam Champion 2016.

Three rounds of three minutes is all you get to prove yourself. Five judges chosen at random will judge each performance on a scale from 1 - 10 with the highest and lowest scores being dropped. Meaning 30 is the best score possible per round.

The host of this year's slam is non other than Hondred Percent, two time Ehalakasa Slam winner who will be traveling to Nairobi in March 2017 as a guest poet at the Slam Africa in Kenya.

Hondred Percent is the slam master alongside the Two Idiots (Dr.So and Gen. Ntatea) as time and score keepers.

The two time Ehalakasa Slam champion will be announcing release details for his upcoming album at the event.

This year the winner takes home a cash prize of 50,000 Ghana Pesewas and will also take a trip to Ivory Coast next year as a guest in their Slam.Second and third place winners will also receive a cash prize of 30,000 and 20,000 Ghana Pesewas respectively.

The Ehalakasa Slam 2016 final takes place on Boxing Day, Monday, 26th December, 2016 at Nubuke Foundation, East Legon. Time is 18:00 and tickets are going for 15GHC.

Ehalakasa's travel trips are ably supported by the Cultural Crossing project. An initiative of Gallery GM and Ehalakasa to support artists travel within Africa.

Next year we are expecting to reach three other regions to scout for poets to fight for the ultimate prize.

This event is supported by Nubuke Foundation, Gallery GM and MiCheck.

Ehalakasa looks forward to your support towards this year's Grand Finale. Come support the contestants and the movement.
