WELCOME TO GHANA As part of its Services & Assistance department, we have developed a range of Relocation Services FREE “WELCOME TO GHANA” ORIENTATION MEETING with our Editor AIRPORT GREET & TRANSFER Should you not want or could not arrange for your company or friends to pick you up and wish to avoid the hassle of local non A/C taxis, our English-speaking* staff (French-speaking available) will greet you and your family at the customs exit of Accra’s Kotoka airport and assist with eventual problems. A chauffeured air-conditioned sedan will then transfer you to your destination in the city. During the transfer, you may ask our staff any questions you may have) and he/she will give you (included in the service) a map of Accra as well as the use of a Ghana mobile phone so you may call home immediately and our hot-line number (available to you for free assistance during the 24 hours following your arrival). HOTEL OR SERVICE APARTMENT RESERVATIONS Unless provided accommodation by your company or hosted by friends, you need lodging during your stay or while searching for a home. we plan to offer in the future, a range of selected hotels and service apartments at preferred rates. Geo-mapping and personal advice will assist you in selecting the location that best match your needs. CAR RENTAL We offer self-driven or chauffeured sedans and 4x4’s for day, week or month rentals at preferred rates, with home, office, airport or hotel delivery/pick-up. ORIENTATION DAY TOURS You arrived in Accra and must take on your new job the next day(s). Your spouse suddenly finds herself alone in an unknown city, feeling bored and possibly lonely or lost. Being in an impersonal hotel or serviced apartment or in your new house (awaiting your belongings) certainly does not help. You wish you could help your spouse but don’t know how and your mind and time are taken by your new responsibilities. In addition to the free “Welcome in Ghana” Orientation Meeting with our editor, our Orientation Day Tours have been imagined as a solution for spouses in such situations but any expatriate wishing to quickly adapt to and learn about their new home city may enjoy them. After picking-you up in the morning with a chauffeured sedan, our English-speaking staff (French-speaking available) will spend the full day with you in Accra, with a schedule based on one or more of the themes of your choice among the following:
Depending on your interests, your Orientation Tour may extend to two or three days (consecutive or not). For schools, cultural centers and some commercial establishments, arrangements have been made for the director, manager or our correspondent to welcome you for a personal presentation/visit. (Please note that recommendations to services and goods providers will be made but that no commissions are being paid to the website for the services/membership/products you may later purchase). A break for lunch is planned (time and type of food of your choice - included in the fee). Note: your children are welcome to join the Orientation Tours, which may be done with your own car and driver.
