United Nations Spouses' Association of Ghana (UNSAG) is the group of spouses of international staff of the various UN organizations active in Ghana.
The group recognizes that “trailing spouses” experience similar difficulties settling in a new country and culture and so we try to learn from each other's experiences and support one another. We also find it necessary to use our time to make a contribution to our temporary homes.
Among our various charitable activities, UNSAG organizes a yearly bazaar and other events to raise funds.
These charity events raised funds for the Power Hour school, a non-profit organization in Adjringanor, East Legon, that cares of orphan and under-privileged children by accommodating, educating, feeding and clothing them. They also help the children to learn a trade.
The group meets the first thursday of the month.
Please ask your UN admin office for UNSAG contact details or contact Brigitte.
