The Writers Project of Ghana and the Goethe-Institut are happy to announce the new edition of the three-day Literary Festival. Pa Gya! A Literary Festival in Accra will be held with the aim of igniting passion in literary arts.

Goethe-Institut in Cantonments will host over sixty writers and organisations at events which span book readings, book launches, panel sessions and discussions, poetry performances and readings, workshops, and more  

Special guest writers from Togo, Nigeria, Canada, South Africa and Ghana will give readings, lead workshop sessions, and participate in panel discussions during the festival.

The opening event will feature Prof Kofi Anyidoho in conversation and performance with Nana Asaase.

(a) Book launch by Ghanaian writer Bisi Adjapon, on Sat 20th at 1.40 PM. Her book, "Of Women And Frogs", brings a refreshing new voice onto the stage of Ghanaian literature

(b) Book reading by Ayesha Harruna Atta, whose latest work, "The Hundred Wells of Salaga", has already received critical acclaim (Sat 20th at 2.50 PM)

(c) Launch of print edition of "Kenkey for Ewes", published by Dakpabli and Associates (Sunday 3.20 PM)

(d) Launch of "Cocoa's Kisses", a new poetry book by H L Daniel

(e) Conversation and performance between Agya Koo Nimo and Prof John Collins

(f) Readings by Empi Baryeh, Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Sabata-mpho Mokae, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng (Saturday/ Sunday)
